MORDEDOR
Dear animal friends,
We like to send our Christmas greetings and want to thank you that you saved Mordedor in December 2007.
He is now a familiy member since May. We are very happy with him and want to take now a chance to write a letter to you. Naturally we are interested in more information about him, we are eager to know. Sorry we don't speak Spanish. We are Günter, Annegret and Raissa. We live in Cologne, close to the river rhine where we go for a walk each day with Mordedor.
Mordedor has chosen us as his new family when we visited the animal home in Kleve. He went direktly to my husband and Raissa so that we didn't look for another dog. When we drove back to Emmerich, our second home, he sat in the back of our car. The lady of the animal home trusted us so that we could take him with us right away.
Already from the beginning he listened to my husband, so that he could walk without a dog lead. He loves Raissa very much and she doesn't feel so alone anymore because she is the onliest very young child in our family. My husband has 4 more daughters, but they are all adults and live in different parts of germany. All of them are young women, one of them is a trainer of dogs.
Each day my husband and Mordedor accompany Raissa to school, where all the schoolkids already love Mordedor. When I had a hard time at work, nearly loosing my job, he helped me very much by laying himself on my feet giving me somehow shelter and hope. On the foto you still can see the traces of my burn out. Fortunately I got another job in the same company to keep up the familiy. Now I feel okay and can relax a bit. I look forward to 2009 where I take an examination as a non medical practioner in psychology. My goal is to work together with my husband who is a healer. Have you heard about animal assisted therapy? A collegue works with this method. Interesting! I don't know yet which discipline will be mine.
Four weeks ago when we all took the streetcar from Cologne to Bonn we changed our seats during the one hour trip and didn't notice that Mordedor stepped out accompanying an old lady. Just when the steetcar went on we suddenly saw Mordedor sitting at the stop outside while we were inside.
My husband was so shocked, that he pulled the emergency brake. We immediately got out in the middle of the road, luckily the driver wasn't mad at us. Nobody was injured. The driver had understanding for the inconvenience we caused and let uns ran back to the last stop without a fine. He said " Mordedor is a dog and not a human being", but for us we recognized that day he is like another human being in our family, like a brother to Raissa or another child to us.
My husband had tears in his eyes when he saw Mordedor waiting for us patiently. Raissas heart and mine jumped a joyful leap.
Now you know a little bit about us and some episodes with Mordedor.
Happy New Year and joyfull greetings
from Günter, Annegret, Raissa and Mordedor.
